Distance Sales Agreement

This Distance Sales Agreement ("Agreement") is concluded between the Seller identified below and the Buyer (you) at the moment you complete the online checkout and authorise payment for a hotel reservation on begintravel.com. It is prepared in accordance with the Law on Consumer Protection No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts published in the Republic of Türkiye.

1.2 Buyer

The natural or legal person who creates a reservation through the website and completes the payment process. By completing the checkout, the Buyer confirms that they have read and accepted this Agreement in full.

2. Subject of the Agreement

The Seller provides intermediary hotel reservation services: it searches wholesale and agency accommodation suppliers on behalf of the Buyer, confirms the booking with the relevant supplier, and delivers a reservation voucher/confirmation document to the Buyer by e-mail. The Seller acts as an intermediary travel agent and is not itself the accommodation provider.

3. Formation of the Contract

This Agreement is formed electronically at the moment the Buyer clicks the "Confirm & Pay" button on the checkout page and the card payment is successfully authorised. By proceeding to payment, the Buyer acknowledges that they have reviewed the selected hotel, room type, dates, total price, cancellation policy, and these terms.

4. Price, Taxes and Fees

All prices are displayed in USD and are fully inclusive: they include the Seller's service and intermediary fee, all applicable taxes, and the accommodation cost as contracted with the supplier. No additional hidden charges will be levied after payment, except for optional extras (e.g. airport transfers, excursions) added voluntarily by the Buyer. The total payable amount is clearly shown on the order summary screen before payment is finalised.

5. Payment

Payment is collected securely by Stripe, a third-party payment service provider. Card data (PAN, CVV, expiry) is entered directly on Stripe's PCI-DSS-certified payment form and is never stored by or transmitted to the Seller. The Buyer's card is authorised at checkout; the charge is captured once the supplier confirms the booking. Accepted payment methods are those displayed on the checkout page at the time of booking.

6. Delivery of the Service

Upon successful booking confirmation from the accommodation supplier, the Seller will send a booking voucher and/or confirmation document to the e-mail address provided by the Buyer at checkout, normally within 30 minutes and no later than 24 hours after payment. This document constitutes proof of reservation and should be presented at check-in. In rare cases where a supplier cannot confirm availability, the Buyer will be notified promptly and offered a full refund or an alternative property.

7. Right of Withdrawal — Important Exception for Accommodation Services

Under Article 15(1)(g) of the Regulation on Distance Contracts (published in the Official Gazette on 27 November 2014), the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation, transport, car rental, food and beverage supply, and leisure activities where the contract specifies a particular performance date or period. Because every hotel reservation made through this website specifies fixed check-in and check-out dates, the right of withdrawal is excluded from the moment the booking is confirmed.

Cancellations after booking are instead governed by the cancellation and refund policy attached to the specific rate the Buyer selected (see Cancellation & Refund Policy).

8. Cancellation and Refund

Each room rate carries a specific cancellation policy (free cancellation until a stated deadline, or non-refundable) which is displayed prominently before payment. Upon cancellation within the free period, a full refund will be processed to the Buyer's original payment method. For partial or non-refundable rates, penalties apply as stated in the rate terms. 9. Buyer Obligations

  • Provide accurate guest name(s) exactly as they appear on the identification document (passport or national ID) that will be presented at the hotel. Incorrect names may result in denied check-in at the hotel's discretion.
  • Provide a valid and monitored e-mail address to receive the booking confirmation and any subsequent service communications.
  • Ensure that all guests meet the hotel's age and policy requirements (e.g. minimum check-in age, children policies).
  • Pay any charges due directly to the hotel at the property (e.g. city tax, resort fees where applicable, minibar, damage deposits) that are not included in the online booking price.

10. Complaints, Disputes and Consumer Remedies

For any complaint or dispute, please contact us first at support@begintravel.com. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 business days.

If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) for disputes below the statutory monetary threshold, or to the Consumer Courts (Tüketici Mahkemesi) for higher-value claims. You may also refer complaints related to travel services to TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, Licence No: 10028) via www.tursab.org.tr.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Turkish Code of Obligations. The courts and arbitration bodies of İstanbul (Şişli district) shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this Agreement, without prejudice to the Buyer's right to bring proceedings before competent consumer bodies.
